Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in
Dobie will hold its annual Fall Festival and Roast Beef Dinner
on Sunday, September 19. The dinner will be served family style by
men of the parish from 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. The menu includes roast
beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, cole slaw, buns, carrots, kolaches,
pie, milk and coffee. Cost is $8 for adults and $3 for children under
12. Take out meals are available. Outside activities include a bake
sale, produce booth and raffle.
Mass is at 10 a.m. The church and parish hall are handicapped accessible.

Are you a registered nurse at work, at rest or retired with a current
license who might consider lending your special talent to the community
as a Parish Nurse? The Birchwood Area Parish Nurse Project would
be delighted to have you join our community staff. For detailed

The Birchwood Area Parish Nurse Project has moved
to their new location in St John's parish house at 107 W Balsam
St. in Birchwood. We have a bright office and an easy access area
to store and maintain the durable medical equipment we loan free
to anyone in need. Call 354-7870 to make arrangements if you are
in need of a cane, crutches, commode, elevated toilet seat, walker,
shower chair, wheelchair. We want to thank the American Legion Post
379 for sharing space with us for storing the equipment in the past.
Their generous use of space was much appreciated. We continue to
do Blood Pressures on Mondays from 10 to 11 am at the Birchwood
Bank and the Country Corner Store at V&M. If these hours are
not suitable please call and we can make arrangements. |
